Dutch couple join Knysna mission

But are all blacks really all poor?

Theo and Jinke de Jong, a devout young Dutch couple, are selling up their handsome red-brick home in peaceful Friesland to move to a mission station where they will be administering to 13 poor black communities in Knysna.

The couple seem to have no previous experience in missionary work nor do they appear to know much about South Africa’s widely divergent, often clashing cultures: however they became inspired after attending a religious service in Leeuwarden by the mission’s Dutch fund-raisers Frans and Carly Alkema of the Immanuel Ministries.  The Alkema couple have also managed to greatly inspire the students at the local Lauwers College to raise more than €3.300 for the feeding-programme at the Oupad squatter camp – even though such poor black South Africans already receive large amounts of feeding-supplements, food-coupons and benefit payouts from the ANC-regime. At the same time the country’s estimated 800,000 (out of 3-million) poor Afrikaners are denied such benefits: also those living in the Eastern Cape area.

Well-intentioned young couple:

However who am I, a mere mortal, to criticise this clearly very sincere young couple ‘s well-intentioned inspiration to dedicate the rest of their lives – and those of their two young sons – to this new enterprise and I do wish them the best of luck. Theo told the Friesland daily journalist Peter de Wit: “During the service God took me by the neck and said: ‘this is for you,’ said Theo in an interview in the FrieschDagblad daily.  They went on a three-month trip with the Alkema couple and travelled throughout ‘the thirteen squatter camps of Knysna’ and returned back totally overwhelmed by the ‘poverty and misery’. They came back full of plans for youth camps ‘to give youths a chance to develop themselves,’ said the couple.

‘ Wealthy of the World have their lush second homes in Knysna… ‘

Knysna was described by the couple as ‘the holiday resort where the ‘Wealthy of the World’ have their lush, second homes. The contrasts between those homes and the squatter camps really are very large’, he was quoted as saying.  Once the decision was made, the De Jong couple set to with a vengeance to make it all happen for them: first they renovated their present home in the semi-rural Frisian countryside and put it on the market for the comparatively low asking price of 274,000 Euros: a song for the overcrowded Dutch housing market. The house was put on sale since Advent: and within the first week three people have already viewed it. “We believe that this is all guided from Above,’ said Theo. “Although we realise we cannot put God before our cart. But we will be going to South Africa. The only question is not if – but when: as soon as we’ve sold the house.’

 Are all the ‘whites REALLY all rich’ and ‘all the blacks REALLY  all poor?”

Please note that despite claims above about all those ‘rich people in Knysna’ , there also are many poor Afrikaners who need food-aid, and moreover — unlike black South Africans – poor Afrikaners do not get any kind of food-aid from the ANC-regime nor any monthly benefit-payouts due to the so-named ‘black-economic-empowerment laws. Think twice before becoming a Christian missionary in Southern Africa… 

We post this brief summary of Christian Missionaries recently murdered and/or attacked in Southern Africa – to make people aware that foreign and local Western missionaries run a particularly high risk of being shot, attacked and murdered: although these attacks appear to have robbery-motives, there are invariably also hidden political motives: Christian missionaries – especially females –  are often seen as a particular danger to the occult-powers held by local witch-doctors over local black populations.  In South Africa moreover, the witchdoctors and herbal healers are registered as ‘medical practioners’ on an equal basis to Western doctors under the Traditional Health Practioners Act. Christian missionaries who dare to challenge their parishioners’ continuing and very firm belief in the powers of occult ‘medicine’, referred to as ‘muti’ – are often attacked: they are then seen as a particularly powerful threat to the political powers which are held by the Traditional Healers.

January 2 2009 – Beeld journalist Hilda Fourie writes that just before Rev. Philip Bergh of the Quaggapoort Dutch Reformed church was shot in the neck, he still courteously greeted the two men who gunned him down a minute later.

And the black gunmen  greeted back – just before shooting him.  It was the third time over the past two years that the dominee has been robbed at gunpoint: last time they just stole a cellphone, and broke into the house. And two of the previous microbuses for transporting congregation members also were hijacked at gunpoint and robbed.  He has been the dominee of this congregation for the past 30 years.  On New Year’s eve, he was planting new plants in his garden at 6am when two men strolled past casually. He greeted them cheerfully and went back to his work. Then he walked over to his old Volkswagen microbus in his garage to go and check up on the oil before taking a planned trip to Middelburg. As he climbed halfway into the combi to adjust the seats, he heard men talking – and the same men who had greeted him earlier pointed guns at him. He said a ‘heavenly peace came over me. I asked them what they wanted and grabbed the one with the gun. I had the gun in my grip when he shot me in the neck. The bullet missed the artery and bones.”I can praise the Lord that I am still alive. 20081011 Protestant Missionary Rianne Henning executed – trying to escape with her children from black attackers: Honeydew smallholding
Mrs Rianna Henning, 31, of the Fisherman’s Village Christian Centre at Honeydew north of Randburg, Gauteng, was shot dead in a particularly cruel manner on 11 October 2008. A black gang had ambushed the female manager at the entrance of the mission station as she tried to drive into its guarded gate with her two small children in the car. The gang had been waiting for her in ambush after overpowering the staff at the mission station. She became frightened when she realised the danger to her children, and in her fear reversed into a tree while trying to flee when she saw that armed robbers were inside the compound. As she sat behind the wheel of her crashed car, with her children crying in the back-seat, she was shot dead execution-style by the armed gang. Mrs Henning and her husband Abri, 35, had only joined the mission station six weeks earlier.  The mission station was run by pastor Linda Patterson, who founded it as a refuge for poor people on a smallholding. Mrs Patterson’s eldest daughter  Heather Costaras (35), said she suspected that the armed gang was still hiding in the reeds next to the veld. March 3 2007 – Pretoria: Irish priest Kieran Creagh gunned down at Leratong AIDS-hospice

The family of father Kieran Creagh, 49, the Belfast missionary priest who shot in South Africa say his condition has improved. Creagh was attacked and shot twice by armed black men at the hospice he founded to help Aids sufferers in Johannesburg.

Following surgery to remove a bullet from his lung  his family, who are at his bedside, said yesterday that he had a comfortable night. Sunday Life (Belfast, Northern Ireland), March 4, 2007 It took him more than a year to recover from his wounds. On 23 July 2008 his two attackers were convicted and jailed. And the Belfast priest then told the Belfast Telegraph of his relief after two men were convicted of his attempted murder. He was left for dead at the AIDS hospice he helped build in the poverty-stricken township in Pretoria by the armed gang. Fr Creagh, who is originally from north Belfast, spent a lengthy period in hospital recovering from his injuries. The shooting sparked a massive outpouring of support for Fr Creagh and condemnation towards his attackers. He said he had ‘no feeling of revenge.” However he also felt relieved… “ because at one stage I thought these guys are not going to be convicted and what do I do then? At the same time it wasn’t a happy feeling of relief because there are two guys going into prison now. I would intend to meet them at some stage, when possible, just to chat to them. I do forgive them, I did that last year. When I woke up in intensive care I said ‘I forgave them’. I have never harboured any resentment towards them at all. I couldn’t keep that in my heart. I had so many other things to think about, such as getting strong and getting off the machines in intensive care. Single Afrikaner electrician Michael van Eck, who worked at Beatrix goldmine’s Nr 4 shaft, was apparently lured to his death in a rural cemetery outside Welkom – through a Facebook appointment with a girl he’d never met before. Some of his body-parts were ‘neatly amputated’, he was cut into pieces and his remains buried in a shallow grave. His head, right-arm and left-foot are missing. Van Eck’s parents last saw him alive on Saturday-evening just before he went to an appointment with a Facebook female friend he’d never met before. After police traced them when they found his abandoned car at a Welkom taxi rank, Michael’s parents discovered in a large puddle of blood and his bloodied tshirt hanging on the gate of the cemetery on Sunday-morning. A police tracker dog named Xander, under control of warrant-officer Fanie du Plessis of Bethlehem,  then found his torso and some body parts – half-buried beneath a pile of sand, at the rural cemetery beneath a tree. His head, right-arm and left-foot are missing. His torso and severed limb-parts were discovered by a police-dog metres from the murder scene in the shallow grave. Buried with him were his denims, but his underclothes and shoes are missing. SAPS sergeant Puleng Motsoeneng, said ‘Michael’s limbs were neatly amputated. Both legs were cut off at the knee. The left-lower limb has no foot.The right-lower leg with the foot attached was with the torso in the shallow grave. The upper-torso had several stab-wounds.’The search for him began after police found his car abandoned at around 8am on Sunday with the keys in the ignition at a taxi-stand in Welkom by the police, who also arrested a black man who was getting into the car. His parents Naas and Henriëtte van Eck were traced and that’s when one of his colleagues mentioned that Michael would be meeting a ‘new girl-friend he’d met on Facebook’ at the cemetery just outside Welkom.  The parents rushed in their car to the cemetery, came across a pool of blood and their son’s bloodied t-shirt, and the police dog-team was alerted.Motsoeneng said there were drag-marks around a building several metres from the gate and that ‘condoms were found there’. Next to the building there was another very large blood-stain. A double-track trail leads to the trees and to his shallow grave. Michael worked as electrician at the Beatrix-gold mine’s Nr 4 shaft in Welkom and still attended the Welkom Gymnasium. He is survived by his parents and four sisters Natasha, Michelle, Bianka and Hendriena. Afrikaans teenager Anika Smit, 17: first hands chopped off, then murdered: Pretoria March 11, 2010

Clear indications that this may well have been a muti-related murder. It cannot be proven: her killers have never been found. The girl had stayed home from the Gerrit Maritz Afrikaans High School with an ear-infection, said her father Johan, 54. Her parents are divorced and she lived with her dad. Thursday-morning he still said goodbye to his only child before going to work. She still said to me ‘I love you dad,’ before I left. Those were the last words my baby said to me’, the distraught dad said. When he returned at 4pm at their Theresa Park, Pretoria home he saw overturned chairs in the living room and knew ‘something was wrong’, he told journalists of the Afrikaans-language daily Beeld. “I called to her but she did not reply’. Seconds later he discovered her lifeless body. “She was lying on the floor without clothes on. Both her hands were cut off and missing. The people (her murderers) must have taken the limbs along with them,’ he said. “She was cut six times with a knife in the neck. Police examiners will have to determine if she was raped.’ From the crime scene it appeared that she fought back or tried to run away. The father had tried phoning her earlier but received no reply. He had arranged for medicine to be delivered to the house – but around noon the pharmacy phoned him with the news that no-one had opened the door.’“I phoned her around lunch-time but I thought she didn’t reply because she didn’t feel well,’ he said. The flag at her school was hanging at half-mast yesterday. André Snyman, head of the community crime watch organisation eBlockwatch, said they had helped to find Anika after she ran away from home in 2007.”We do not know why she ran away. “For this to now happen is terrible. It’s a tragedy,” he said. Mahlaole said ‘the motive for the murder was unknown”as all her valuables including her cellphone were left intact. Nothing at all was missing from the house, which was found unlocked. 20090401 Farmers Jan van Wyk, 82, and Basie Venter, 65, mutilated cruelly on their farm, Vierfontein Viljoenskroon, Free State

Bloemfontein – Free State Agriculture president Louw Steytler strongly condemned the cowardly and gross manner of the two murders carried out against local elderly farmers Jan van Wyk, 82 and Basie Venter, 65, found cruelly mutilated on their Vierfontein, Viljoenskroon farms in the Free State. This follows the arrest of an unnamed, 25-year-old black man on Tuesday morning on the farm of Jan van Wyk, 82, at Vierfontein. It was reported that the man was found sweeping the veranda and calmly making food on Tuesday morning, when he was discovered by Johan Engelbrecht and other members of Free State Agriculture’s rural safety organisation. The man ran inside the homestead and threatened the security detail with gardening shears. They were able to apprehend him, however, reported Tom de Wet and Marisa Phillips of Beeld newspaper. see . Van Wyk’s mutilated body was found in the dining room of the house. One of the suspected murder weapons and beads covered in blood were found buried in the fields next to a lion camp on Venter’s homestead.Van Wyk,  a retired policeman who only alone stayed on his farm over the weekends, was allegedly lured outside where he was bashed over the head with a shovel, dragged inside the homestead while still alive — and then mutilated.  This is a clear indication that this was a ‘murder to harvest body parts for ‘traditional medicine’, as this is inevitably done while the poor victims are still alive.Johan Engelbrecht of Free State Farm Security said he was investigating the muti-murder of another neighbouring farmer, Basie Venter, 65, a few hours before when another farmer stopped him on the road and  warned him that he ‘suspected trouble’ on the Van Wyk farm next door, too. Van Wyk wasn’t on his stoep as he usually did early in the morning, reading his Bible. There seems little doubt that the same man was also involved in the murder of Basie Venter. Venter’s widow Mary, 68, had witnessed the attack around 21:15 on Monday through a window in the house. Venter was attacked with an iron rod, police said. Steytler said the murders, which seemed muti-related, were ‘barbaric and had no place in a modern world’.

Kroonstad police spokesman Maselela Langa confirmed the murders. He said the 25-year-old man, a Lesotho citizen who claimed he was a ‘traditional healer’, appeared in the Viljoenskroon Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.  He did not provide the arrested man’s name nor his motives. CANNIBALISTIC MUTI-MURDERS – A CRUEL OCCULT PHENOMENON:

Muti-related murders occur very frequently in South Africa.  For instance, the South African Police Service reports reported on August 20, 2008 that three men were arrested for selling traditional medicine in Bushbuckridge, Limpopo province – and jailed for it: however the witchdoctor who had ‘ordered’ the body-parts, was not charged.

The witchdoctor was not charged.

SA Police captain L Hlati reported that on 15 August 2008, three suspects were arrested by his team for a case related to a ‘muti’-murder (human body-parts harvested for ‘traditional medicine’) and that they were charged in the Bushbuckridge Magistrates’ Court. Businessman Patrick Floyd Mokoena (58), his son, Sydney Toto Mokoena (33) and his son’s friend Mjojo Justice Ndubane (28).They admitted that they had brutally murdered Floyd’s nephew Clarence Brown (25) on 23 February 2008, and were jailed. Their testimony was that Floyd told his son that he desperately needed human body parts ‘to make his four businesses quickly churn big bucks’. The suspected businessman owns the Lebohang Bar Lounge, a restaurant in Tekamahala Trust, another in Oakley near Hazyview as well as a liquor-outlet in Oakley.

Body parts had to come from a family member said the witch doctor:
His son Toto asked his friends — Mjojo Justice Ndubane and another unidentified suspect — to help. They went in search for Floyd’s nephew Clarence Brown — as the witchdoctor’s advice was that the body parts needed to be of a family member. The victim was found drinking at the Sizanani 2 Bar Lounge in Oakley with his friends. The suspects waited at a bridge where the nephew was supposed to pass when going home – and offered him a lift.The suspects made formal admissions to the arresting police that they ‘cut his body parts while he was still alive’ – while seated inside a blue Venture kombi belonging to Floyd.They then threw the victim’s lifeless body in the middle of the road in Oakley, under the false pretense that the victim had been involved in a hit-and-run accident.The three suspects were arrested by the Organised Crime Unit between 13 and 14 August 2008 while sitting relaxed at their homes, thinking that their evil deeds had gone unnoticed, Captain Hlathi wrote in his police report. see

8,000 ANC-youths get militia training

Why are 8,000 black ANC-youth league members – all civilians – getting recruited for military-training  at SANDF bases … and why are white youths excluded?

2011-07-30 LUTHULI HOUSE, JOHANNESBURG – Afrikaner civil rights group AfriForum lodges an urgent law suit under the Freedom of Information Act tomorrow, to force the defence minister to reveal the truth about the controversial military-training scheme of the ANC youth league, called “Narysec”.

The DA-parliamentarianDavid Maynier is raising the issue in the parliamentary standing commission for defence.” This programme poses a huge risk for the defence force because it can be used far too easily as a backdoor to provide militia-training for the AnC youth league,’ said Maynier. “The parliamentary standing committee was never informed about this. “

Afriforum demands to know the exact role played by the SANDF in providing advanced two-year military training courses to such civilian youngsters; and demands to know the exact manner in which these youngsters are being recruited. The first group of 1000 of the “Narysec’ corps are reporting to the Saldanha military base for military training from tomorrow, on May 1 2011. Another 1,000 are scheduled for Oct 1 — and at least 8,000 black youths have been identified as suitable for the training scheme.

Each recruit – aged from 18 to 35 years– must have Grade Ten educational levels, will be trained at military bases for two years and receive a monthly salary of R1,320 plus food, lodging and transport costs, confirmed rural affairs spokesman Eddie Mohoebi.

Some 600 ‘Narysec’ recruits have already received military training at the De Brug military base near Bloemfontein. AfriForum is using the Freedom of Information act to obtain a court-order to force defence minister Lindiwe Sisulu to reveal the manner of recruitment of these youth-militias.

‘ WALL OF AGGRESSION ” BY ANC-MINISTERS

Afriforum has repeated asked for more information ever since the military-training scheme for ANC youth league members – which is completely funded by the taxpayers —  started leaking out in the local media. Afriforum ran into a ‘wall of aggression’ whenever they tried to find out more. For instance, on May 3, 2011, Charl Oberholzer, the national chairman of the  Afriforum youth league, was accosted with ‘aggression’ by black staffers  (photo below) while visiting the Minister of Defence and Military Veterans Lindiwe Sisulu’s office.  Afriforum youth league members were there to hand in a petition, asking the Minister to explain – again under the Freedom of Information Act – whether, why and which ANC youth league members were recruited for military training at Saldanha military base; for which purpose; and when these facts were going to be published. “We ran into a wall of aggression’, our legitimate request for information was “rejected as unnecessary’ and the media’s presence was aggressively condemned. We were told  that ‘the minister did not have time to have to explain themselves to Afriforum youths,”  said Oberholzer ( below) in a statement afterwards.

Oberholzer was rudely accosted by a Sisulu office staffer at the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform. Oberholzer pointed out ‘that the Minister was obligated, under the Freedom of information act, to make this information known to the public.  We demand to know the manner in which these trainees were recruited, what their political affiliations are, the exact details of the training programme, the composition of the National Rural Youth Service and what their purpose would be,’  he said. He was bluntly told that ‘Minister Sisulu did not have time to answer questions from Afriforum youths.’ The minister has said in the past that the civilian-military training scheme was undertaken to ‘train the youths as rural census-takers’.

“Article 199(7)(b) of the Constitution of South Africa very clearly indicates that no political party may be advanced by the security forces. To prevent that South Africa – as is done in the neighbouring Zimbabwean dictatorship – trains political recruits and undermines the country’s welfare, it it crucial exactly for what purpose the National Rural Youth Service Corps is being trained,’ he said. link 

The Democratic Alliance asks:  “The defence force says it is not responsible for the recruitment of the Narysec volunteers. So how would the defence orce know whether they are recruited from ANC youth league ranks, or not? South Africa cannot afford to infringe on the impartiality of the defence force in this manner’.

Afriforum lawyer Willie Spies said their court application will demand Sisulu reveal the following:
* The manner in which members were recruited to participate in the militia-training programme;
* whether recruits are affiliated with any specific organisation or political party; Narysec’s organisational structure and its true purpose; 
* What Narysec’s constitution entails, and whether it follows the black-economic-empowerment laws (requiring 6% white participation)
* The exact curriculum and study-material which is used in this training-programme;
* which courses are included in the training-programme.

What do you do with a young Army which has never worked, and does not know what work is? What kind of moral authority or position can we demand if they become criminals and we have done nothing? ‘he asked. “We send them to the defence force for two months for character-building – as non-military personnel – and they will become our agents of Change. Then we have moral authority’.

Each recruit must have Grade Ten educational levels, be aged 18s to 35 years, will be trained for two years and receive a monthly salary of R1,320 plus food, lodging and transport costs,said  rural affairs spokesman Eddie Mohoebi.  ANC youth league spokesman Floyd Shivambu was not available to answer his phone yesterday. “His in-mail facility was full,’ wrote Rapport.

Hijacked man survives gunshots, dump off bridge

Unknown man survives being shot –  and thrown over railway bridge, Paul Kruger Highway, Springs

29 July 2011 – Springs – A critically-injured man was found by Benoni sniffer dog Milton – after he was shot and dumped over a railway bridge by kidnappers on Paul Kruger Highway. Journalist Mpho Morereane described the event in the LookLocal Caxton publication- Paramedics stabilised the unidentified man, who had been shot in a leg and arm while his Isuzu double-cab bakkie was hijacked on Paul Kruger Highway on Friday, July 29. Before the thugs sped off in the bakkie, they threw their shot victim off the railway bridge, she writes. The victim managed to call for help on his cellphone and his family dispatched the police.

W/O Martin Bann of the Benoni Dog Unit, who first arrived at the scene, said he was not sure where the victim was and released Milton, the police dog, who found him. The bakkie was later found outside a hostel in Cleveland. The victim was taken to Union Hospital in Alberton. The man’s name has not been released to the news media.

The Kitchenbrand family has been racing top-flight champions ever since 1907: Their latest champion is Victor, named after SA football star Victor Matfield. Pigeon-racing ever since the Boer-Republican era

Such fiercely-contested pigeon races have been held ever since the Boer Republican-era:  first when Dutch civil servants working for the two independent Boer Republican governments imported their own racing pigeons – which usually were bred from Flemish stock. The pigeons were even used to carry messages between the Boer commandos in the field and the Pretoria central government after the Republics were invaded by the British colonial army. After 1902, English colonial pigeon-fanciers also started racing pigeons: however these British birds often were also bred from Flemish stock.

After World War I more importations into South Africa were made, and at this time some of Belgium’s latest strains came into the country. These were mainly pigeons of the Grooters, Bricoux, Gits, Van de Velde and Stassart cultures.

The most important breeding stock was however brought in by a Flemish pigeon fancier from Antwerp: Frans Putterie. An expert diamond cutter and cigar manufacturer who arrived in 1932, and settled in Kimberley: to manufacture cigars. He imported twelve pigeons from  Antwerp in 1937. Few fanciers who saw the birds liked them at the time: yet these pigeons were destined to cause a major revolution in pigeon racing in South Africa.
Mr. Putterie settled in Johannesburg and bred another set of youngsters in 1941, which he raced in 1942. This was the most shocking season for his fellow club members, since he won eleven out of the club’s fourteen races and came second in the other three, not to mention the other positions which he took.This was the start of a revolution in the pigeon racing sport and soon other fanciers realised that their pigeons were outclassed. Other fanciers began acquiring birds from him, and whenever these were raced, the old strains were beaten and outclassed. Through the years these pigeons have been mated together, and a family or strain of pigeons has developed which South African fanciers know as the old Putteries. Encouraged by his tremendous success, Mr. Putterie made further importations after the war, but unfortunately these were not as great a success as the 1937 importations. The 1937 pigeons were crossed among themselves and even though Mr. Putterie would never entertain the idea that he has, in fact, bred a family of pigeons and created a strain of his own, this has in fact been the case.The birds imported in 1937 could count amongst them the finest pigeons of Mr. Putterie’s old club members in Antwerp. Pigeons of the same origin were unobtainable in Belgium after the war. It is known that the entire Van Engela loft was wiped out by a bomb during the war.Through distribution to various lofts, fanciers have again reached a status quo in as much that they all more or less have the same type of pigeon. On the Witwatersrand or Reef area and Pretoria, where the greatest concentration of pigeon fanciers is found, most lofts consist of pigeons which still have a great percentage of Putterie blood in them. The Putterie birds have retained their supremacy and have dominated racing in most clubs from 1942 up to the present day. Another great importation of pigeons was made during the early nineteen fifties when a stout supporter of the Putterie pigeons, the late F.J. (Sonny) Kippen, on the advice of the late Frans Putterie, bought two pigeons at the sale of the late Louis Vermeijen in Antwerp, Belgium.These two pigeons were the “Slimme” cock Belg 46 6336858, a great racer in Belgium and an even greater stock pigeon, and the “Boerin” hen Belg 48 6117327, also a great racer in the Vermeijen lofts.They were mated and their offspring were crossed with a line of the Putterie family. This crossing had almost the same impact as the introduction for the first time of the Putterie pigeons. The new strain fiew exceptionally well and their offspring, in turn, produced many outstanding racers and stock pigeons.The two families of pigeons can be regarded as the most important families of pigeons in South Africa and although thousands of other pigeons have subsequently been imported, they have not yet been abie  to produce better pigeons or even pigeons in the same class as the pigeons imported by the late Frans Putterie or the two Vermeijen pigeons imported by the late F.J. Sonny Kippen. source

Training a world-champion pigeon is hard work:

The Kitchenbrand couple say that to prepare for such a competition is hard work and long years of experience. “Your breeding pairs must be healthy, the bloodlines are very important, just as in race-horses. The selection of pigeons sent on that journey is important. After they fly off, it’s all just up to the Lord’s Grace,’ said Naomie.

The feathered Olympic athletes – all males — are let lose each year near Hopetown in the Free State to find their way back to their cooing mates back in Sun City. Pigeons and the Kitchenbrand family are as South African as rugby, braaivleis and sunshine.

“The Sun City race is the Olympiade of the pigeon-racing world. It’s the world’s top racing-competition and if you haven’t won in the Sun City, you just haven’t made it yet,’ said a proud Naomie. “The circumstances in which the pigeons have to fly are very difficult, with lots of hot weather and mountain ranges along the flight-path, wrote journalist Simone Erasmus

Mark and Naomi have made pigeon-racing their business, called Kitchenbrand’s Loft. When it comes to the care of pigeons, they are experts: from medication and vitamins to pigeon-breeding and caring for pigeons right up to the race. 

One of the requirements at the Sun City race is that once you have entered your pigeon, it becomes the property of the Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race’s owners. After the last flight, the first 100 winning pigeons are auctioned off publicly – and the rest of the pigeons are sent to pigeon-clubs for local auctions. “If you want your pigeon back, you will have to buy him back. And after you’ve bought him at auction, you sign an undertaking that he can only be used for breeding, not for more racing’.

Victor won its owners about $200,000 – roughly R1.4-million. “We have agreed with our German partner Alfons Klaas to split the winnings. Our half was used to strengthen the genetic bloodlines of our pigeons with new purchases, and to pay next year’s entry-fees,’ said Naomie.

It’s a very sick society, and the worst of all is the police – which is supposed to protect us – appears to be helpless and without any will to do so. We must pay out taxes though don’t we? I have told the official at the police station – the only white person on duty – that I can recognise that they don’t have the ability to protect us, and that he will have to realise that I will have to use ‘lethal force’ to stop any of these ‘intended criminals’ to prevent them from harming my family. 2011-07-24 LIMPOPO. Journalists Piet Rampedi and Adriaan Basson, City Press, write that a 3,5ha smallholding carved out of the traditional Boer farm of Palmietfontein after 1994 was recently bought for R900,000 cash by the ruling party’s youth league leader Julius Malema.

However this farm – including the little Malema-smallholding which faces the Silicon Smelters north of Pietersburg, was already hotly contested long before this purchase: four different tribal clans have placed claims on Palmietfontein between  1994 and 1998 which are still not resolved. This was confirmed to City Press by Eddie Mohoebi of the rural development and land reform dept. He confirmed that the Ga-Mothapo tribal community and its trust, as well as the Maboi and -Motokolo tribal clans have all lodged claims.

Mohoebi told City Press: “The claims are still under research. It might still take time to arrive at the decision, because the four claims must all be researched and evidence collected and analysed before a final decision can be made. It is not possible to indicate how long that process will take as there are internal conflicts within the claimant communities, making it very difficult to obtain consensus on important issues affecting the claim.”

Malema declined to comment to City Press on his ownership of the plot and how he had funded its purchase. The affected communities could not be reached for comment. The phone at the Ga-Mothapo traditional authority rang unanswered and the other claimants could also not be reached, according to the journalists.

From early childhood, Malema spied for, rioted and agitated as a member of the Masupatsela pioneer movement on behalf of Walter Sisulu:

Malema hails from that region. He is a Sotho-speaking member of the Pedi tribe and was born in the then-Lebowa homeland, in Seshego, northwest of Pietersburg in Limpopo – which used to be the capital of Lebowa. His mother was a domestic worker. From early childhood Malema joined the Masupatsela (“trailblazers”) communist pioneer movement of the then-outlawed African National Congress. (picture left). These Masupatsela Pioneers alligned themselves with ANC-leader Walter Sisulu.  The main task of the Masupatsela pioneers was to create chaos targetting the National Party government structures. Its activities however also included spying on fellow-Pedis on behalf of the ANC-exiles  – to identify and terrorise those tribal members and their children who cooperated with the NP. The record shows that these youngsters were participating in considerably violent rioting and high levels  of aggression from a very early age: they burnt down their own schools, they attacked symbols of the capitalist system such as shopkeepers, and they often threatened fellow-blacks with violence if they did not adhere to the ANC-line. Until 1974 Seshego was the capital of the semi-autonomous Lebowa homeland. The first thing the ANC did when they gained hegemony of SA in 1994, was to abolish all the autonomous tribal homelands.

Members of the local detective division arrived after his local performance at a primary school and clapped the young man in handcuffs.  The shock-incident happened on Thursday-night at the Dagbreek Primary school after a performance. The terrified young singer appeared the next morning in the local magistrate’s court after a sleepless night – and was granted bail of R5,000 and ordered to appear again on 5 August. Bougas told De Bruyn that his night in this cell was ‘the worst experience of his entire life’. “Every new arrival in the cell was assaulted and carved with a knife on an arm. One policeman told those fourteen other men in that cell that I was a singer, and said I would ‘have to sing all night to keep them happy otherwise I would also be assaulted’. “We all sat on the icy-cold concrete floor. I went to sit next to a man who looked friendlier than the rest. The toilet was so filthy I could not use it.” The ordeal of the young white singer was caused by a charge from a local realtor, André Venter. He had the young singer charged with ‘theft’ because his daughter Zahn had allegedly made an appointment and had paid a deposit to make a music video allegedly with Bougas’ help. Venter said he himself stopped the production of the music-video but Bougas did not want to refund the deposit because a song-writer had already been paid to help Zahn Venter make the video. The studio-space and the agent had also been paid with this deposit, said Bougas. When Venter demanded the deposit back, Bougas refused. So Venter lodged a theft-charge against the singer on Thursday when he heard that he would be appearing in Carletonville that night. Asked by De Bruin whether this entire matter could not have been cleared up in a civil-suit, like most normal people would do, Venter said ‘this is not a matter I will discuss with the news media’. 25 Jul 2011 Afrikaner police officers LtCol Stoney Steenbergen, capt Nico van Zijl, w/o Rias Cilliers, Arnold Meyburgh, Albie Hills, serg Cobus Meyer and the estate of the late ex-commando leader in Frankfort Johann de Beer, all will get compensated for the illegal arrests and incarceration at Frankfort police station. The Afrikaner officers were arrested enmasse in a high-publicity ‘swoop’ with  false accusations that they had murdered Mr Pikanini Mzolo, 60, who was jailed on 27 March 2002 and died in 2003.

 Judge Peter Fischer ruled this week that this highly-publicised mass-arrest of the white police officers was illegal. He issued a court order to the Police Minister to pay the legal costs which run into R2million — besides paying compensation with interest backdated to the date of their arrests, to the police officers. Steenbergen, Cilliers and de Beer were held in very ‘precarious’ circumstances (during which they were horribly abused) and the court ordered that they be paid R120,000 compensation each; Hills and Meyer R160,000 each; Meyburg R180 000 and Van Zyl R90,000. Judge Fischer also ordered the Police Minister to pay interest over those amounts backtracked to the date of their arrests at an annual interest rate of 15,5%. All these Afrikaner policemen were found not guilty of any responsibility in Mzolo’s death. The charge of murder against Van Zyl was withdrawn before the case was even brought before the court. Meanwhile, all the Afrikaner police officers also lost their jobs. Emergency meetings on crime: Rhenosterspruit, Doornrandjie, Roodekrans, Hennopsrivier,Gerhardtsville nature conservacy

24 Jul 2011 – Many emergency meetings are held in the Rhenosterspruit, Hennopsrivier and Gerhardtsville nature conservancy near Pretoria because crime is soaring.

There have been a large number of crime incidents across the area of late.  People are urged to attend these meetings to help consolidate the various groups into more unified forums. 23 Jul 2011 – Chinese business-woman Mrs Biao Gin-Mei Gao, 45, was shot dead execution-style in her Nigel shop, reported Jacques Steenkamp of Beeld. Mrs Biao was shot dead in front of her two young-adult children inside her Nigel liquor store while she was eating noodles with chop-sticks. SAPF constable Andries Tshabalala,said five armed black males stormed into the Friendly Liquor Store in Rhodes Avenue, Nigel, pulled their firearms on the cashier/shop owner and shot her dead. She was sitting on the chair behind the cash-register eating noodles. The closed-circuit security cameras recorded the fact that the Chinese woman tried to talk to the attackers, whereupon one of the gunmen simply raised his arm and shot her through the head. Attempted robbery of Bayswater East London family: children’s room torched, car burnt out, family saved

23 Jul 2011 WE have RECEIVED an unverified report without any source-links that a car was torched – completely burnt out – and a house caught fire in Baysville, East London during ‘an attempted break-in’ on the morning of JUly 7 2011 at 5:5pm. The children’s room above the garage was apparently set alight. A security vehicle spotted the fire and woke up the family – thus the unnamed family was saved. WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO VERIFY THIS REPORT with the local fire department or any policing services. We await confirmation. This item will be removed within a week if confirmation is not forthcoming.

Forced removals, ethnic-cleansing campaigns by ANC-regime to cleanse all the original Afrikaner/Boer inhabitants from greater Pretoria…

VVK officials, representatives of the Doulos Ministries for the poor, the charity Angels At Work and the Afrikaner Journal were also on hand. This registration drive was held in the smallholdings region of greater Pretoria – traditionally regions where Afrikaner/Boers have lived in permanent settlement ever since the Great Trek  — and which now are rapidly becoming known as the Afrikaner Killing Fields . More defenceless, working-class Afrikaners are being killed, attacked, terrorised and mutilated by heavily-armed black youth militias in this region around Pretoria than in any other region of the country. This is also the region facing a forced removal campaign by the local ANC-run city council of all its original Afrikaner/Boer inhabitants – the people whose forebears founded Pretoria.

Lively debates about Afrikaner self-determination:

Mare noted that the response to the call for registration was so great that VVK officials Charl De Jager & Jacques Maré ran out of registration forms. “The atmosphere was electric and lively debates about self-determination could be heard throughout the day”. Despite their impoverished circumstances, community members have shown a great deal of resilience in resisting the relentless onslaught by the ANC Metro-council to kick them out of their humble wooden cottages.

“This was just another step in the fight for dignity – placing their names on the voters’ roll for the VVK so that their voices could be heard by a council which was elected from amongst their own nation.”

Ethnic-cleansing campaign of impoverished Afrikaners pending

This community in Daspoort faces forced evictions by the ANC city council.The ANC has  made a test-case for one property owner and identified the homes which they want demolished. It is just a matter of time before the order will be given to destroy the lives of this embattled community. The case has been pending since 2009.

Magda Stroebel. founder of the Angels At Work welfare organization,  is due to appear in court again on the 29th of this month to face trumped-up charges of violating certain building regulations. She is however providing shelter to many people who simply don’t have anywhere to go, writes Mare.

According to Ms Stroebel, the council has yet to announce its intent to move them and provide suitable homes for them within their communities and  rehouse these desperately poor people among those who share their language and cultural identity.  The council, obliged to act according to the SA constitution, must always offer alternative housing for those people before they evict them.  Thus far the council has offered no suggestions on solving this dilemma. Not only does the ANC-regime create a humanitarian crisis, but this situation can very easily turn into severe ‘human rights’ violations by the newly elected ANC council, noted Mare.

In addition,  these Afrikaner land-rights activists claim,  the ANC is biased in their approach towards members of different race groups. The Afrikaners say that the ANC’s court-case is based on bogus ‘regulations’ with their submission to the Pretoria law court that the neat, backyard wendy houses housing these people ‘violate building regulations.” Activists warn that this law-suit instead is targetting one specific racial minority and that the wendy houses are merely used as an excuse: pointing out that the same ANC-council meanwhile does not intervene when black people arrive enmasse from other countries and erect dangerous, unhealthy and dilapidated structures anywhere they like. The ANC-council then choses to ignore all the ‘health- fire- and safety risks’ posed by such black shanty towns.

How does the VVK fit into the picture?

The VVK (The independent registration council for the Volksraad elections) was founded to facilitate the registration of all eligible persons  on the voters’ roll for a future election to create a legitimate Afrikaners/Boer governing council. (“Volksraad”). This elected body will be the governing body that will make executive decisions on behalf of the Afrikaner/Boer nation and will furthermore be the mouth piece and administrative body of all matters connected to this group of people.

The Volksraad (as it will be known), would serve as the modern equivalent of a similar governing body that ran the Boer Republics during the Afrikaners’ fifty years of internationally-recognised autonomy in their independent, internationally-recognised Boer Republics in the late nineteenth century. The Boer republics did not have political parties: instead they were governed by a Volksraad (council), consisting of democratically elected representatives from the Afrikaner/ Boer population.

The need for a new Volksraad Council became clear after 1994 when the Afrikaners/Boers found that their political voice in the ‘New South Africa’ has been reduced to a mere whisper. The situation has deteriorated to such en extent that not one political party in the present-day ANC/SACP/Cosatu trade union-ruled country represents the Afrikaners – although they are 6% of the total SA population – in the present-day parliament. The ANC has since 1994, created the most polarized society in the world: passing many anti-white, genocidal laws to suppress, impoverish and ethnically-cleanse the Afrikaner nation from all their traditional towns and farms.  The National Council (Volksraad) also will deal with the following emergency issues in addition to the issue of self-determination:

Genocidal anti-white ANC laws cause severe poverty and exodus of Afrikaners

ANC anti-white employment laws have resulted in severe poverty among an estimated 800,000 of the 3-million Afrikaners. Most of these people are literally living like animals in makeshift structures and shacks all over the country.

The Journal reported in an earlier article that the ANC regime has managed to marginalize  Afrikaners by introducing legislation to bar members of this group, from almost all economic activity through their black-racist, anti-white job reservation legislation.The effect of these ANC-laws is increase of 150% in severe poverty amongst the Afrikaners.

Extrapolated at this present rate – if no new anti-white employment laws are passed – the ANC will keep on deliberately harming and impoverishing this small, very visible minority as follows:

• 25% of all Afrikaners (1 084 556) will be destitute, seven years from now,
• 50% of all Afrikaners (2 133 444) will be destitute, fifteen years from now,
• 75% of all Afrikaners (3 256 302) will be destitute, twenty years from now,
• 100%  of this group will be living in absolute squalor by 2034 – a mere twenty-three years from now” source

The Afrikaner Diaspora (Boer Political refugees)
The ANC has managed to purge the South African society of its most valuable asset – trained/educated Afrikaners that could have  contributed to the welfare of this country. An estimated 1 million ex-pat Boers are living in exile in countries like the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Many countries have rightfully acknowledged their status as refugees and the number of Afrikaner refugees have soared. There are 170 South Africans with legal political-refugee status in Germany, 111 in the USA, 46 in Ireland, 33 in Canada, 24 in the UK, 18 in France and 15 in Australia.(From our information, it is also believed that some ten applications are also pending in New Zealand.)  – Source: SA’s 604 overseas refugees

Afrikaner Poverty – the ‘white minority’ of South Africa lives in growing squallor, chronic hunger and have become  Internal Displaced Persons

Those many hundreds of thousands of Afrikaners/Boers who cannot flee from this systematic genocide, have become internal displaced persons in the country of their birth.  They live in squallor,  in little camps in and around all the major cities. It was in one of these communities that registration for the council election took place this week.

The UNHCR (The United Nations Refugee Agency) describes the position of displaced Afrikaners very aptly, in this quote from their website dedicated to IDP’s:

Internally displaced people, or IDPs, are often wrongly called refugees. Unlike refugees, IDPs have not crossed an international border to find sanctuary but have remained inside their home countries. Even if they have fled for similar reasons as refugees (armed conflict, generalized violence, human rights violations), IDPs legally remain under the protection of their own government – even though that government might be the cause of their flight. As citizens, they retain all of their rights and protection under both human rights and international humanitarian law.

The United Nations published a report in May 2010 in which John Holmes, its Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, noted the following:

More than 27 million people were uprooted by violence within their countries in 2009, the highest number since the mid-1990s. He noted that ‘the term Internally Displaced Persons and other jargon “do not come close to doing justice to the truly awful experience of being displaced – disoriented, traumatized, confused, fearful, disempowered, dependent, helpless,”

The six countries with the largest IDP populations are Sudan, with nearly 5 million; Colombia, with between 3.3 and 4.9 million; Iraq, with almost 2.8 million; the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with nearly 2 million; Somalia, with 1.5 million; and Pakistan, with 1.2 million.

Under the UN definition of internally-displaced persons, the destitute Afrikaners should also be recognised as such. In which case the UN would be obligated to recognize this status and make relief-efforts available for this small minority.

Charities helping Afrikaners are persecuted by ANC regime

In addition to this, in May 2011 a summary from  criminology-site Farmitracker.com has also been noted another ominous trend –  namely the ANC-regime’s deliberate refusal to provide any kind of food-aid to Afrikaner charities to help keep these communities alive; and the regime’s very deliberate persecution of private individuals and private charities daring to help destitute Afrikaner internal refugees. The Daspoort community’s pending removal threat is just one example of many similar persecutions against poor white communities countrywide. ANC-RULED CITY COUNCIL STARTS ETHNIC-CLEANSING CAMPAIGN OF AFRIKANERS WHO VOTED FOR DEMOCRATIC-ALLIANCE:

No alternative accommodation has been arranged by the Pretoria City council official Johan Jacobs after he demanded the forced-removals of hundreds of poor-Afrikaner residents being housed in neat little Wendy houses located at the Daspoort smallholding at 929 Keyter Street near Pretoria. Jacobs showed up with his demands before the pending court-case on July 29 2011.

The matter has been lagging in the courts for the past two years: but Pretoria city officials were never on hand to testify and now the final decision about the issue will allegedly be taken on July 29. It’s no surprise therefore that the city has decided to take matters into their own hands before that date – arriving on Monday-morning and ‘ordering’ charity-chief Stroebel to start breaking down the little cottages. The structures are neat, clean and even have fire-prevention installed: all the legal requirements for healthy housing have been met. Yet the Afrikaners at this smallholding face constant harassment from the city council. It’s beginning to look very much like an ethnic-cleansing campaign targetting a specifically interesting group of Afrikaners: they voted enmasse for the Democratic Alliance at the last municipal election, and it would be to the advantage of the ANC city council to remove these DA-voters from their voting district altogether. Clearly they pay no attention to the legal requirements for squatters: namely that they must be given suitable alternative accommodation before they can even be moved.They couldn’t wait for the court to decide on July 29.They are forcing the issue now.

This cannot be allowed to happen. Clearly the ANC-run city council of Pretoria has now decided to start its ethnic-cleansing campaign of poor Afrikaners on the Pretoria smallholdings in earnest: starting at Daspoort. The city council official claims he has ‘given a court order to her lawyer ‘ – but she knows nothing about it. He has not produced any court-order. It is illegal to force people out of their ‘alternative accommodations’ unless the city has suitable accommodation to house them in. THAT’S THE LAW ALSO FOR WHITE SQUATTERS. If the Pretoria city council gets those Wendy houses torn down before the court makes a decision on July 29, thousands of other poor Afrikaners in the Daspoort region will also be forced to move. This is undoubtedly an ethnic-cleansing campaign to clear these Afrikaners – who massively voted for the Democratic Alliance at the last municipal election – out of this voting district. If there are any legal people in the vicinity of her Daspoort smallholding, please go and help her right away. And if they succeed: where are those people going to find a roof over their heads – in the middle of the winter?

‘Afrikaner guilt for apartheid’ claims hide the ANC’s own guilt about its own vicious terrorism against its own people

Freedom Front Plus MP Koos van der Merwe writes:  2011-07-24.  The perceived ‘guilt of the Afrikaner for apartheid’ hides one very important factor in these claims, namely the fact that the ANC’s guilt during this era is always ignored. And what was that guilt?

Ex-pres FW de Klerk revealed the following information in August 1996 to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission about the cruelties carried out in the name of the African National Congress leaders:

Necklacing: (torching people to death with a petrol-filled tyre around their necks): 505 people died and 36 people were severely injured in ‘the most brutal and inhumane manner imaginable,’ according to De Klerk. Let’s also recall the inciting calls by Winnie Mandela on 12 April 1986: “Together, hand in hand, with our boxes of matches and our necklaces, we shall liberate this country” (Business Day, 21 Februarie 1994). On 4 Mei 1986,  Radio Freedom broadcast an ANC-propaganda call, saying: “Let us take our weapons, both rudimentary and sophisticated, our necklaces, our grenades, our machine guns, our AK47’s, our limpet mines and everything we can get, let us fight the vigilantes…together with the police and the army”. (Business Day, 21 Februarie 1994).

On 5 January 2010, the following written information was provided to me by genl. Johan van der Merwe, former police-commissioner, providing reliable details for the time-period Sept 1984 to  April 1992:

• Persons killed by members of the security forces during unrest: 455; and persons injured by the security forces: 1,633
  Persons killed by rioters:: 8,825; and injured by rioters: 18,428
  Persons killed while alive in the necklace-method: 406
• Police officers killed between 1980 to 1993: 922

“Amnesty International in Nov 1992 ( as quoted in Business Day 1Dec1992; The Citizen, 15Jan1993) published details about the harrowing situation which existed in the ANC-exile camps in Angola, Tanzanië, Uganda and Zambia, recording routine incidents of physical abuse, organised rape, routine tortures and illegal executions of their own people in this same twelve-year period. These all were atrocities committed by the ANC against their own people inside their own exile-camps.”

Commented Van der Merwe: “We must exercise caution to not sullify the Afrikaner past — without also understanding and balancing this by holding these incidents up to the circumstances in which events occurred. We must always look at both sides of that same coin. And it’s also important to recognise the great many good things which were also acknowledged by ANC leaders such as pres Jacob Zuma as having occurred during apartheid: Zuma admitted openly in Beeld, 6 April 2008 that ‘apartheid also had its many sides.’

July 21 2011 – PRETORIA. Mr Bruno van Staden, 66, was shot dead with four shots to his body in his bedroom at his Kameeldrift smallholding at 7.30pm. The pensioner’s wife Alexis, 55, was ordered at gunpoint to get out of the bathtub. She apparently remained unscathed.

Hilda Fourie of Beeld quotes lt-col Lungelo Dlamini as saying that the same five-man gang probably also attacked a gardener and a maid in the smallholding next door earlier in the day.This five-member gang ‘must have dropped the robbed jewellery as they fled,’ said Dlamini. ‘They’d tied up the black workers in the cooling room’.

The Van Staden couple’s son-in-law Johan Lamprecht said they live in a flat on the smallholding. Their son Bruno and their grandson Juan-Gé Lamprecht also have seperate cottages nearby. At around 7.30pm someone knocked at the front door and Mr Van Staden opened it. A black man stood there pointing a gun at his face. It’s not entirely clear what happened next –  but the Afrikaner pensioner then was then shot dead with four shots in the upper body – at close range.
