White farms torched, stripped: Centurion

Valuable stone farmhouses are stripped down to their very foundations by black squatters at Vlakplaas, CTC game farm, Lifestyle Estates Food Production and other abandoned homesteads where fresh food was produced for the fresh-produce markets of Gauteng only two years earlier. These are the latest scenes of torched-earth destruction from Gerhardsville – Centurion

May 20 2012 CENTURION – Many farms in the Gerhardsville Hennops rivier region are being abandoned by their white owners – and their interiors are stripped for firewood and bricks, metal sold to scrap-yards – and then they are torched before they are  stripped down to their foundations:

These abandoned agricultural estates south of Pretoria in the Centurion region now are targetted by black squatters. They strip the wooden interiors and roofs of the homesteads for scrap; torch them, and then remove the stone-walls right down to their foundations. Similar destruction of valuable real-estate properties are also occurring in other towns, such as the now destitute gold-mining town of Welkom (below)
