Did surfer Garrett McNamara ridden the biggest wave ever ?

Writes the Jeffrey’s Bay News editor: “The Billabong XXL judging panel will have to make the final call on whether the wave which McNamara rode at Nazaré, Portugal is a genuine 90 footer or not…”

Either way, it took some serious courage from McNamara to ride a wave that massive,’ according to the editor of the Jeffrey’s Bay News.

The previous record—77 feet—was set by Mike Parsons in 2008. The Song showing McNamara’s magnificent ride is “Ricochet” by David Michael & Lee Pomeroy.

If it is determined that the wave was a 90 footer are being taken seriously, which would beat the current world record of 77 feet, ridden by Mike Parsons at Cortez Bank in 2008.

McNamara said that he had no idea how big the wave was when he was riding it. The Billabong XXL judging panel will have to make the final call on whether the wave is a genuine 90 footer or not.
