The South African Police have arrested a female suspect in Thornhill – in the case of the missing, presumably murdered Jeffreys Bay motorhome-manufacturer Claus Schroeder. After Claus went missing in August 2009, police have even made trips made to Europe to gather evidence while working on the case.
The Jeffreys Bay newspaper has quoted the police as saying that a woman was arrested on July 19 2011 in Thornhill and that they are still hunting down a male suspect. The unidentified woman’s case has been postponed until 28 July and she will be held without bail until then.Claus and his family have been living in Jeffreys Bay for many years and started a factory that built motor homes. His son Tobias was selected to represent Germany in an international surfing competition earlier this year.
German Porsche-conversion company owner Uwe Gemballa kidnapped 9 Feb 2010 – found executed Oct 3 2011
That case is very similar to the kidnapping/murder of the German tycoon Uwe Gemballa, who was found ‘executed’ nine months after his airport kidnapping on 9 Feb 2010. Gemballa ran a German-based international company for supercar Porsche-conversions and was kidnapped shortly after his arrival at Johannesburg airport. He was held for ransom. SA and German police had worked together to try and find him. Two German police officers were in South Africa — and to prevent kidnappers from accessing his assets Gemballa’s business premises in Stuttgart were sealed by the German police. His kidnappers executed him and dumped him in a field near the airport.
