Maree, Corne, 42, guard, forced to his knees, executed, Alkmaar farm, Nelspruit
Afrikaner security official Corné Mareé (42) was murdered on March 24 2011 with his own service-pistol at a farm near his home- forced to his knees in front of his killers, said his boss Werner Terblanché of J&M Security in Nelspruit. (source: Beeld).
A farmer came across Mr Mareé’s body in thick woods about 15 metres from the road, with gunshot wounds to his face, chest and stomach. It appears as if he also was stabbed with a knife. Mareé had only been promoted to manager at J&M three days earlier and was murdered in a rural area 2km from his home in Alkmaar. It was his last shift as security-officer before taking up his new post.
He had apparently stopped to inspect a suspicious vehicle, a silver bakkie, parked along the Alkmaar road. “He did what any good security-officer would do and stopped to find out what they were doing there,’ said Terblanché. He apparently was first stabbed in the head during a struggle. He then was dragged into the bushes where was shot dead. There was a bloodied trail and drag-marks from his vehicle to his body.”When one examines the angle from which he was shot it appears that he stood on his knees when he was shot dead,’ said Terblanché.
A nearby farm-worker heard three shots and rushed to tell his employer: and the farmer came across Mareé ‘s abandoned bakkie alongside the road – and noticed a blood-covered cellphone next to it. Following the trail he found the Afrikaner guard’s body, whose service pistol is missing – but the J&M-bakkie ‘s keys were found in the bush discarded about 25m from the body. Mareé leaves his wife Riana, two sons Mischa (15) and Justin (1), and daughter Marli (5). Col. Gerrie Agenbach, detective-branch superintendent, asked people with any knowledge of the incident to contact him at tel 00137591108. http://www.beeld.com/Suid-Afrika/Nuus/Wag-staan-dalk-op-kniee-voor-skurke-wat-hom-doodskiet-20110324
(Note: the prats at Agri-SA would not record this as a ‘farm-murder’. However this prat does.)
