Kidnapped Edenvale businessman killed

The body of Edenvale businessman Louis Deneeghere, 63, kidnapped from  his Edenvale home on September 18, was found in the veldt near Sebokeng a month later.

He was very likely murdered on the same night his house was burgled and his vehicle was stolen.

The original Missing Person poster issued by the SAPS stated that his vehicle was found abandoned in Kensington on Sunday-morning, the day after he  was seen last: leaving the elite Morningside Country Club in Sandton, where he was probably kidnapped. He was wearing jeans and a blue shirt with red and yellow flowers on it.

Police said his  body was found in the veldt south of Sebokeng, Johannesburg on Monday afternoon. The police’s spokesman Jean Olckers said “it appears he died from a gunshot wound”. They have been very reticent to release any other information about Mr Deneeghere.
